PROBIOTICS HOUSE TIP #15 – IS YOUR ALL NATURAL PROBIOTICS
BATH BAR OR SHAMPOO SWEATING?
Glycerin is a humectant that is a natural byproduct of saponification, the chemical reaction that produces soap. MGEcoduties Handmade bath bars and shampoos, are rich in natural glycerin, and they are the most moisturizing soaps you can find! We are All Natural, it means we are truly 100% exempt of additives, preservatives, and chemicals ingredients.
When you wash with MGEcoduties All Natural Bath Bars and shampoos, there is a thin layer of natural glycerin left behind, which will draw moisture to your skin. The general health of the skin relates directly to its moisture content. MGEcoduties All Natural Handmade Bath Bars can help the skin maintain a moisture balance while nourishing the skin.
When Natural Bath Bars sits out in humid conditions, the glycerin in the soap will draw the moisture out of the air and onto the bath bar. So the sweating is actually moisture from the air that the glycerin attracts, not moisture coming from inside the bath bar. The more humid the environment, the more likely you’ll experience this phenomenon. Please understand that when you receive your bath bars during humid weather conditions, some of the bath bars and wrappers may be damp or wrinkled from the natural “sweat” of the bath bars.
There is nothing wrong with your bath bar and it is not melting, it’s just the natural glycerin doing its job.
How to Reduce Bath Bar Sweat
One of the best suggestions that we have for reducing the amount of sweat on our bath bar is to have a dehumidifier. Drastic changes in temperature will also enhance bath bar sweat. Another option in reducing sweat on our bath bars, is to store the bath bars in an airtight container. By doing this, you are eliminating any extra moisture to be retained by the glycerin. On a closing note, bath bar sweat does not affect any of the bath bar’s abilities.
