MGEcoduties is a registered commercial unit under Kattida Kalai Trust which operates as part of the Auroville Foundation under section 20(4) of the Auroville Foundation Act, 1988.
All accounts of units/trusts under Auroville Foundation are consolidated and one single income tax return is filed under one PAN: AAATA0037B. All trusts are recognised as non-profit, non-governmental organisations.
Auroville has FCRA recognition making it eligible to receive foreign donations.
The executives of MGEcoduties are Dr. Margarita Correa and Guidelma Grandi who are responsible for ensuring fiscal accountability. MGEcoduties maintains rigorous book keeping and accounting of each transaction and can provide detailed reporting on expenditure against donations.
Our accounts are audited annually by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, according with section 26(1) of the Auroville Foundation Act, 1988.
As a social enterprise, MGEcoduties’ commercial activities, selling all natural probiotic beauty and health products, generate a surplus – 33% is contributed towards Auroville as part of our social commitment to the community while the remaining surplus is given back into the organisation.
